Faustin I copper Pattern 100 Centimes 1849, KM-Pn42, Fonrobert-Unl., cf. Guttag-2199A (in silver). Plain edge. A wondrous survivor from a series of 100 Centimes that remain wholly elusive, especially those dated from the first year of Faustin's reign as emperor. Fully struck up, exhibiting crisp devices supported by reflective terra-cotta expanses lit ablaze upon illumination. A trophy for the collector of Haitian rarities.
