A 19th century Archaeological Revival coral panel bracelet, designed with two coral corallium rubrum panels carved to depict mythical creatures, enclosing a clasp modelled as a column, with fluted coral corallium rubrum shaft, on a coral corallium rubrum and ropetwist-link back chain, length approximately 19.5cm The central fluted coral panel has a surface-reaching fracture running along most of its length and a chip/hole near to one end. The other coral sections have smaller chips, fractures, scuffs and nicks, commensurate for use, with small areas of brownish staining. One of the fittings attaching the column-shaped panel to the adjoining panel is detached and will require solder repair. The mount has general surface wear, scuffs and chips/nicks, commensurate for age and use, with occasional losses to the decoration and scattered shallow dings, kinks and creases. The mount is untested as gold/gilt metal. The clasp is currently functioning. Gross weight approximately 17.5gm.
