the bowl resting on three sinuous dragons, fixed triangular ebonised wood plinth with presentation plaques 38 cm, 15 in high overall The inscriptions read XXIV Punjab Pioneers China 1900-1901. The 23rd and 32nd were raised in The Indian Mutiny, 1857 and the 34th in 1887 as Punjab Pioneers. Renamed Sikh Pioneers in 1903 Renamed 1st Bn 2nd Bn and 3rd Royal Bn 3rd Sikh Pioneers in 1922 Reconstituted as Corps of Sikh Pioneers in 1929. Disbanded 1933 Reraised as Sikh Light Infantry in 1942. Presented to the United Services Club by former officers of the Sikh Pioneers to whom Honorary Life Membership of the club was granted in 1933.
